When the plane takes off, not only is a bedroom at home strangely empty ... Thanks to modern means of communication, however, you do not have to wait ages for mail to arrive, but are able to keep in regular – perhaps even daily – touch by e-mail.
Adjustment to life at the boarding school is, as a rule, unproblematic. Your child is not the only “new kid”, nor the only one from another country. North American boarding schools are geared towards encouraging their students’ talents and personalities.
On campus, he or she is part of an intensive community of teachers, mentors and fellow students. Small classes and active, committed teachers ensure a high level of education. The goal of the education is that students find their own form of expression and develop communicative skills.
A particular focus of our advising is that we pay close attention to the core academic needs required for the German school system.
Mid-way through the year, at “half-time”, we visit your child. We take care of any worries, needs or other issues he or she may have – in word and deed, with heart and hand.
Should your son or daughter enjoy school abroad so much that he or she would like to stay longer, we will discuss this at that point and look closely at the options. Once we have returned, we will discuss this with you as well. Additionally, we will give you an thorough and honest report about our meeting with your youngster, our impressions there, how he or she is doing and so on.
